Engraved area or cut line?
A closed black form can be interpreted as an engraved fill, while a laser cut usually follows a contour. Your laser software assigns the operation, order, speed and power.
Before production, inspect double lines, open contours and very small segments in the target program.

- Load the image and begin in result view.
- Adjust black level, contrast and brightness until all intended lines are present.
- Remove isolated marks or unwanted regions with the cleanup option or lasso.
- Open vector view and inspect outer contours, counters and narrow gaps.
- Smooth only visible raster steps and simplify Bézier curves conservatively.
- Export the format that fits your next production step.

Material, extraction, focus, speed and power depend on the machine. Use manufacturer values and test scrap material.
Choose the right export.
PDF is useful for controlled print output, SVG for modern design and production software, EPS for traditional workflows, DXF for contour-based CAD and laser processes, and PNG for the cleaned raster result.

Does Vector Boy set laser power?
No. It prepares geometry only. Machine parameters belong in the laser software.
Why does the laser repeat a line?
Look for duplicate objects or an active fill edge plus an extra contour.
