A new extension is not enough.
An SVG can still contain an embedded PNG. Vector Boy instead traces the visible boundary and creates genuine mathematical paths.

- Remove isolated marks or unwanted regions with the cleanup option or lasso.

- Smooth only visible raster steps and simplify Bézier curves conservatively.

SVG, EPS and vector PDF exports contain no white background. White means there is no black shape.

PDF is useful for controlled print output, SVG for modern design and production software, EPS for traditional workflows, DXF for contour-based CAD and laser processes, and PNG for the cleaned raster result.

Does a transparent PNG stay transparent?
The vector export has no white background. The visible brightness of the motif still determines the trace.
Will SVG always be smaller?
Often for simple shapes. Rough complex edges can create many points, which moderate simplification reduces.
